Botox Has Really Worked for Me

... 2011: Marcus Collins accused of having backstage Botox injectionsEven though I am only in my 30s, I was finding that I had a lot of wrinkling around my eyes and forehead. I’ve always kept a thin figure, so I knew that this was natural aging and not the result of excess skin from weight loss.

I had done some research online about plastic surgery, but honestly — I was scared to death of going under the knife. I was discussing the issue with a girlfriend of mine, and she let me in on a little secret: she’d been using botox for over a year. I was surprised to hear this because her face didn’t have any of the typical signs of Botox use.

Everyone’s seen the horrible pictures in magazines and on TV of Hollywood stars who underwent botox injections and came back with faces that looked as if they were frozen in place. My friend told me the only way this happens is if you go overboard with the injections. She said she’d been going every few months, and she’d never had an episode where her face “froze”.

I was still nervous about needles around my eyes, but she assured me that the pain was minimal and the results lasted quite a while. She agreed to go with me to the doctor for my consultation, and after talking to a health care professional, I was ready to give Botox injections a shot.

As my friend promised, the injections were not painful. They were over and done with in just seconds, and I didn’t feel any of the burning that I was expecting with a shot in the face. Within days, I noticed a marked improvement in the condition of my skin. The wrinkles became finer, and my whole face just seemed to glow. Putting on makeup was so much easier, and I was starting to feel beautiful.
